Clinical Documentation System
Originally a stand-alone Electronic Documentation tool, today IntelliTrak is the only Level 4 EMR, Electronic Medical Record, in the wound care field, complete with integration into existing Hospital Information Systems via HL7. The Intellicure Clinical Documentation System is a point-of-service patient charting system. Charting is done in the examination room with the patient present and is complete when the patient leaves the clinic. The output is a full complement of documentation and reports including:
  • Initial Evaluation and Treatment Updates
  • Courtesy Letters to Referring Physicians (with Pictures)
  • Physician Orders (including Home Health Orders)
  • Patient Summary List
  • Therapist Note
  • Photographs
  • Prescriptions (Intellicure does support thermal paper prescriptions and more)

What is HL7 Interfacing?

Intellicure is at the forefront of interface technology in the wound care and hyperbaric industry, and has been successfully interfacing with hospitals since 2004. We have interfaced with numerous hospital EMRs including:

With a HL7 interface in place, your registration process will become seamless as your hospital EMR automatically transfers over patient demographics into Intellicure. Your staff will not have to worry about double entry (registering in the hospital and wound care center), and they will spend less time entering patient registration information.

By having the hospital EMR connect with Intellicure, your front desk staff will be much happier, free of keeping track of Medical Record numbers, Account Numbers, Addresses, Phone, and more. Below is a short list of what Intellicure can automatically 'fill in' for you while you are charting on each patient:
  • Name, Address, Phone Number(s), Age, Race, DOB, Social Security Number
  • Medical Record Number, Account Numbers, Admit and Discharge Dates

Billing Compliance
By utilizing Intellicure's enhanced billing capabilities, your facility will remain in compliance at all times. There is no need to worry about surprise JCAHO audit's or Insurance company denials. Using Intellicure is the first step towards becoming 'audit proof'.

How is this achieved? One big resource is the Intellicure Facility Acuity Scoring Tool (iFAST), which will calculate your level of service based on a CMS approved scoring tool. Each part of the exam that you document is linked to points in the background, which at the end of the visit total together and gives you your Level of Service.

Second, the Intellicure EMR has the ability to provide you with all the ICD-9 codes based on the wounds you describe. This information is carried forward throughout every visit, making sure there is no more 'floating diagnosis' or incorrect coding. Intellicure's billing tools practically take care of the coding for you, and if necessary, will provide coding access for your hospital coding staff (separate login capability).

Additionally, Intellicure updates all ICD-9 (soon to be ICD-10) and CPT codes as required by CMS. October 1st of each year, you will see the updates instantly at no extra cost.


Benchmarking Services
Using Intellicure's Members Portal, you can access your facility or groups of facilities' Benchmarking Reports. The online Benchmarking Program includes an array of management reports to make sure that you receive the outcomes, trajectory reports, patient statistics, and more that you need in order to run your facility efficiently.

EMR Systems Training
By becoming a client of Intellicure, your facility will undergo 3 to 4 days of on-site training where a certified Intellicure Trainer will instruct your staff on how to use Intellicure's EMR. After the Intellicure staff completes training you will not only have a copy of our training manual, but a full directory of training videos available for all of our clients. Our clients use these videos to train new staff or perhaps perform 'refresh' courses under Intellicure supervision.

Another valuable training resource are Intellicure's FAQs documents for not only how to use the Intellicure EMR, but to answer questions about billing compliance, and correct usage of ICD-9 or CPT coding based on Medicare Guidelines.



Chart Review & Audit Defending
As your facility continues to chart using the Intellicure EMR, our staff will (at your request) diligently audit your charts to make sure you are remaining compliant. We can also train your management staff on how to audit their own charts, using Intellicure auditing techniques.
