Intellicure Announces Leadership Change, New CEO

THE WOODLANDS, Texas (Sept. 19, 2023) – Intellicure, the leader in wound care software and wound data technology since 2000, announced its first CEO change in company history today.
David Walker, Intellicure co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since its inception, has decided to commit fully to the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and Chief Operating Officer Matt Pine has been promoted to the permanent position of President and CEO.
“I feel my strengths and passion truly lie in the realm of innovation, technology, and product development,” Walker wrote in a company-wide email. “As CTO, I can devote myself entirely to these areas, ensuring that Intellicure remains at the cutting edge of our industry.”
Pine joined Intellicure in 2014 as its Chief Development Officer and was named Chief Operating Officer in 2018. Since then, Walker has been incrementally transitioning his responsibilities to Pine, freeing him to spend more time on product innovation and development.
This formalization of titles and roles is the final step in what has been a gradual transition for Walker and Pine.

The leadership change also has the support of Dr. Caroline Fife, Intellicure co-founder and Chief Medical Officer.
