Health Information Technology Proposed Rule (HTI-2) is Out

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), today released the Health Data, Technology, and Interoperability: Patient Engagement, Information Sharing, and Public Health Interoperability (HTI-2) proposed rule. The HTI-2 proposed rule is a continuation of ONC’s focused efforts to advance interoperability and improve information sharing among patients, providers, payers, and public health.

ONC will be hosting information sessions in the coming weeks, including an overview session on July 17 at 2:00 PM ET.

The proposed rule is available now on HealthIT.gov/proposedrule.
