Yes, these proposed “rules” are hundreds of pages (sometimes thousands) and are often filled with jargon. Sometimes it’s hard to understand exactly what they are talking about. However, once finalized, the arcane details will control how physicians get paid in 2022. The only reason I don’t lie awake at night worrying is that the Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders reviews all the relevant proposed rules and alerts clinical associations to changes that might impact the care of patients with wounds.
